Job Opportunity: Senior Legal Manager

Job Description:

The Senior Legal Manager will be responsible for drafting and vetting various documents related to loan assignments, legal notices under the SARFAESI Act 2002.

  • Having adequate knowledge of DRT Act, SARFASI Act, IBC 2016 and other relevant laws pertaining to banking and financial institutions.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • 8+ years of legal experience in banks, financial institutions or non-banking financial companies.
  • Experience with asset reconstruction companies is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Taking appropriate legal action for debt recovery and following up on cases before all forums like DM/CMM, DRT NCLT and other appellate courts and tribunals.
  • Handling civil and criminal litigation and representing the organization at quasi-judicial forums as necessary.
  • Drafting and vetting of pleadings, written statements, evidence, affidavits, replies, petitions etc.
  • Coordinating and following up with team members and advocates in consultation with the president legal.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel across India as required by the management to defend legal cases at short notice.
Requirements:
  • LLB qualification.
  • A self-motivated individual with good business understanding.
  • Commitment to organizational growth.
  • Effective communication skills and job knowledge.
  • A deep understanding of laws relating to banking and allied commercial laws.
  • Knowledge of relevant guidelines of SEBI, FEMA, Capital Market, RBI, Companies Act etc.
  • Proactive approach to organizational issues with ability to multitask, communicate with all levels of management, develop teams and work in a fast-paced environment in a time-bound manner.
  • System and process-oriented approach.
