Unix System Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Unix Support Engineer to fill this challenging role.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for the right individual to work in a mission-critical banking environment, utilizing their technical expertise and problem-solving skills to ensure high availability, performance, and security of our Unix systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide level 2 and level 3 support for Unix systems.
- Maintain compliance with PCI DSS, SWIFT, and local banking regulations.
- Operate under ITIL processes (Incident/Change/Problem/Knowledge).
- Troubleshoot complex incidents and manage approved platform changes.
- Conduct root cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement permanent fixes.
- Tune configurations and schedule jobs to enhance performance and reliability.
- Coordinate with vendors and validate post-change health.
- Demonstrate strong documentation, runbook hygiene, and clear communication with stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in Unix support (L2) or 10+ years (L3)
- Experience with AIX, Power 8/9/10, HMC, and VIOS
- Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and service management principles
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
