Job Title:

Director of External Relations

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to lead our external relations efforts. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage with government officials, industry leaders, and other stakeholders to advance our business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead regular interactions with government officials to ensure a favorable policy environment for operations.
  2. Monitor and ensure adherence to environmental clearances, labor law compliance, land use permissions, and industrial licensing requirements.
  3. Develop and execute crisis communication protocols and serve as primary media spokesperson during sensitive situations.
  4. Track policy developments affecting the steel/manufacturing sector and prepare position papers and advocacy strategies.
  5. Lead land acquisition processes, liaison with revenue officials, and coordinate with legal teams on property-related matters and dispute resolution.
  6. Brief senior leadership on political developments and coordinate with various departments to align corporate affairs strategies with business objectives.

Requirements:

  • The candidate should be an expert in engaging with government and industry leaders to influence policy and advance business goals.
  • The candidate should have a proven ability to handle media during crises and proactively mitigate risks.
  • The candidate should have deep knowledge of land procurement, labor standards, and the socio-political landscape of Vijayawada/Andhra Pradesh.
  • The candidate should be capable of developing and executing data-driven public affairs strategies.
  • The candidate should be skilled in leading a team and influencing stakeholders within a complex, matrix organization.
