Fund Accounting Director

Job Overview:

The Fund Accounting Director is responsible for the overall management of fund accounting services, including financial reporting, data analysis and dissemination, and regulatory compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of fund accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and effective communication with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage fund accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial reports for investors and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement financial reporting procedures and policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement, providing recommendations for process enhancements and system upgrades.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead training and development programs for fund accounting team members to enhance technical knowledge and professional skills.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in accounting, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably in a leadership or senior analyst role.
  • Strong knowledge of fund accounting principles, US GAAP, and IFRS.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
