Job Title: Legal Executive – Business Recovery and Asset Management

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing legal litigation for retail lending products, ensuring SARFAESI legal action initiation in NPA accounts and compliance with SARFAESI process as per TAT. They will also support the recovery team, guiding them or giving legal opinion on legal issues or processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage legal litigation for retail lending products
  • Ensure SARFAESI legal action initiation in NPA accounts and compliance with SARFAESI process as per TAT
  • Support recovery team, guiding them or giving legal opinion on legal issues or processes
  • Draft legal letters and notices
  • Initiate legal action in cases where action cannot be taken under SARFAESI ACT
  • Auction current assets
  • Support HO Legal in sharing branch inputs for arbitration, cheque bouncing proceedings, and coordinating with lawyers for execution of award decree orders
  • Support defending against cases filed against our legal action in courts, coordinating with enforcement agencies, marketing agents, publication houses, and lawyers
  • Resolve high-value cases, team handling, supervision, and HR policy compliance
  • Maintain legal MIS, update compliance tracker, and reply to audit queries
  • Liaise with law firms and external counsel on preparation of court documents and hearings
  • Handle end-to-end CERSAI matters on CERSAI portal, involving uploading, ID generation, preparation of master file, and removal from portal on loan closure
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Good exposure in legal collections in the local market with good networking skills
  • Substantial knowledge towards mortgage and real estate industry
