Accounting for success requires a team player who can manage the day-to-day financial operations of a business. As an AP and AR Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring that all vendor invoices are processed in a timely and accurate manner.

Key responsibilities include analyzing accounts payable transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. You will also prepare and distribute regular financial reports, including expense summaries and aging reports. Additionally, you will maintain and manage relationships with vendors, addressing any payment issues or discrepancies promptly.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. Experience with QuickBooks is a must, as well as knowledge of Canadian taxes and regulations. Proficiency in MS Excel, Pivot, and scripting (VLOOKUP) is also required.

Other qualifications include experience with vendor payments, meticulous verification of invoices from vendors/consultants prior to processing payments, and a strong understanding of Canadian full-time employees tax regulations. Role Overview
  • Invoice Processing: Verify, process, and reconcile vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Expense Analysis: Analyze and monitor accounts payable transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular financial reports, including expense summaries and aging reports.
  • Vendor Management: Maintain and manage relationships with vendors, addressing any payment issues or discrepancies promptly.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
  • QuickBooks experience
  • Knowledge of Canadian taxes – HST, PST, PD7A, ROE
  • Experience with Canadian Full-time employees – Federal Tax, Provincial Tax, CPP, EI
  • Experience with vendor payments
  • Meticulous in verifying invoices from vendors/consultants prior to processing the payments.
  • Experience with MS Excel, Pivot, and scripting (VLOOKUP)
