About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site assessments to identify opportunities for water, land, and farm sector improvement.
  • Design and cost-estimate soil and water conservation measures.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor watershed and climate-resilient projects.
  • Collaborate with local communities and stakeholders to create detailed project plans.
  • Coordinate with government agencies, NGOs, and organizations to secure necessary approvals and permissions.
  • Provide technical assistance and training on soil conservation, water management, and crop cultivation.
  • Supervise construction of structures required for watershed development, such as check dams, farm ponds, and contour trenches.
  • Monitor and evaluate project progress, making adjustments as needed.
  • Collect and analyze data related to project performance, including soil and water quality, vegetation cover, and crop yields.
  • Maintain accurate records and track progress using project management information systems (MIS).
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards during project implementation.
  • Engage in outreach activities to promote the project and its objectives to local communities and other stakeholders.
