Job Description

As a Service Desk Junior Engineer, you will be responsible for handling calls, emails, chats, and incidents on the ticketing tool. You will take necessary details and ensure that the call is dealt with efficiently. Your duties will include logging details of all incidents and problems using standard reporting methods, providing first-line fixes, utilizing relevant procedures, or escalating problems as needed.

You will also use supplied checklists to ensure that problems highlighted are followed up, maintain procedures compliant with ITIL, and log all calls in the Service Desk Call Logging system. Additionally, you will have strong knowledge of computer, IT infrastructure, printers, MS-office products, and networks, and their components.

Some of your responsibilities will include escalating tickets to L2 and L3 as appropriate and following up for resolution, experiencing in handling international clients, and having a strong working knowledge of Operating Systems, MS Office, Active Directory, VPN, ServiceNow, etc.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills (written verbal)
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and diagnose issues and problems
  • Ability to categorize and record reported queries and provide solutions
  • Knowledge of online security and ability to advise users on the appropriate course of action
