Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Business Development professional with a proven track record in sales of additives or polymer solutions. This individual will be responsible for driving business growth, developing new market opportunities, strengthening client relationships, and achieving consistent sales targets across assigned regions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new customers and applications for additives in the assigned region to drive volume and value growth.
  • Appoint and manage potential business partners such as agents and distributors.
  • Conduct technical trials and manage product evaluations to obtain customer approvals.
  • Achieve defined monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Develop a growth strategy focused on financial gain and enhanced customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers and identify upselling/cross-selling opportunities.
  • Conduct continuous market research to identify new prospects, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Schedule and lead business meetings with existing and potential customers to present company offerings.
  • Promote products by addressing customer objectives and requirements.
  • Prepare annual/quarterly customer-based contracts aligned with demand forecasts.
  • Provide realistic sales forecasts by product, customer, and region.
  • Track and report customer-wise sales volumes, geographic trends, and outstanding receivables.
  • Submit timely sales reports, forecasts, and updates to the Sales Management team.
  • Gather and share market intelligence on industry trends, technology changes, and regulatory updates.
  • Offer after-sales service and technical support to ensure customer retention.
  • Mentor and support junior sales staff to improve team skillsets.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (5-10 years) in B2B sales within the Additives/Polymer Additives industry.
  • Strong understanding of processing, applications, and technical requirements.
  • Ability to conduct product trials and communicate technical specifications effectively.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret sales and market data.
  • Strategic thinking and proactive approach to market development.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint), and reporting tools.
  • Willingsness to travel frequently across assigned regions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Chemistry, or related field.
  • MBA in Marketing or International Business.
