Backend Developer Role

The company is seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join its team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable backend solutions using Python and Django.

Job Description

This position involves working on the development of robust backend systems using Python and Django. The developer will ensure scalability, security, and reliability of the systems developed. Additionally, they will be responsible for architecting and implementing RESTful APIs to support web and mobile applications.

Detailed Responsibilities

- Design and develop robust backend systems using Python and Django
- Implement RESTful APIs to support web and mobile applications
- Integrate cloud technologies (GCP, AWS, or Azure) for application deployment, scalability, and performance optimization
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to containerize applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes
- Write efficient SQL queries and manage database schemas to support data-driven features
- Work closely with front-end developers, QA, and product managers to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for developed systems and APIs
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in backend development and cloud computing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Python development, with strong expertise in Django
- Proven experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP); knowledge of AWS or Azure is also valuable
- Proficient in designing and developing RESTful APIs
- Experience with at least one additional Python web framework such as FastAPI or Flask
- Solid understanding of SQL and experience working with relational databases
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
