Job Title: Software Engineer

Ovation Green is a specialized SCADA system designed for renewable energy assets. It offers a comprehensive range of features, flexibility, and services to empower users with enhanced control over their energy sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new applications, fix bugs, and expand features in existing applications.
  • Design and develop front-end software using modern technologies.
  • Build and deliver solutions that meet partner requirements and customer expectations.
  • Provide timely information to individuals across the organization.
  • Review and design technical specifications and architecture.
  • Develop multi-layer, cross-platform applications using design patterns.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of commercial experience in software development.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and its core principles (e.g., components, state management, hooks, lifecycle methods).
  • Familiarity with TypeScript for better type safety.
  • Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
  • Understanding of front-end build tools and pipelines.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration.
  • Experience with Microsoft development tools.
  • Practical experience in software design principles and best practices.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and debugging software.
  • Ability to work and function within a diverse environment with remote teams.
  • Knowledge of software design principles and best practices.
  • Experience with full-lifecycle projects and formal software development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in software development.
  • Experience with Web sockets.
  • Tomcat servlet engine.
  • SQL Server, Apache Cassandra, PostgreSQL database.
  • Experience with Junit tests.
  • Networking knowledge.
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems.
  • Basic knowledge of renewable assets (wind turbines, solar plants, BESS).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
