Technician Job Description

Aster Medcity is looking for a skilled Technician to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey.

  • Perform routine maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Conduct inspections and tests to ensure proper functioning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical support and assistance as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Routine Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular checks, maintenance, and repairs on machinery and equipment to prevent malfunctions and downtime.
  2. Inspections and Testing: Conduct thorough inspections and testing to ensure that equipment is functioning correctly and efficiently.
  3. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize disruption to operations.
  4. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance and repair activities to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  5. Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to share knowledge, expertise, and best practices.
  6. Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards to maintain a safe working environment and avoid non-compliance penalties.
  7. Technical Support: Provide technical support and assistance as needed to colleagues and management to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or manufacturing setting.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, proficiency in software and tools relevant to the job.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as OSHA, HAZMAT, or ISO 9001 are an asset.
