Compensation Specialist

As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for administering payroll in a timely and accurate manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer compensation for all employees in a timely and accurate manner (weekly, biweekly, monthly or as per company schedule).
  • Calculate salaries, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
  • Ensure correct deductions for taxes, benefits, retirement plans, and other deductions are applied.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit payroll-related tax filings.

Record Keeping and Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date compensation records, including salary changes, deductions, and attendance.
  • Ensure all compensation documentation is filed according to legal and company requirements.
  • Stay informed on updates to tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Professional certification in compensation (e.g. Certified Compensation Professional) is a plus.
  • 2-5 years of experience in compensation processing, preferably in a corporate or large organization.
  • Familiarity with benefits administration and tax filing requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong ethical standards and discretion in handling sensitive employee data.
