Job Description:

As a seasoned engineer in manufacturing operations, we seek an expert to lead the design, configuration, and deployment of Ignition SCADA and MES applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial control systems, including PLC, SCADA, HMIs, and plant floor connectivity. They should be proficient in database technologies, such as SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent.

The selected individual will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs.

  • Design, configure, and deploy Ignition SCADA and MES applications across manufacturing operations.
  • Architect and implement real-time data acquisition, visualization, and reporting solutions.
  • Ensure seamless integration of OT systems (PLC, SCADA, MES) with enterprise IT systems (ERP, databases, cloud).
  • Develop and maintain secure, efficient data exchange using REST APIs, MQTT, and OPC UA protocols.
  • Manage industrial databases (SQL, historian, timeseries databases) for high availability and performance.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Minimum 3-10 years of experience in SCADA/MES engineering within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proven expertise with Ignition SCADA, Inductive Automation, including scripting module configuration and project deployment.
  • Strong background in MES functions (production tracking, OEE, downtime analysis, traceability, SPC, etc.).
  • Proficiency with database technologies (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent).
  • Hands-on experience with OT/IT integration technologies.
  • REST APIs for system interconnectivity.
  • MQTT for IIoT messaging and lightweight communication.
  • OPC UA for industrial interoperability.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems (PLC, SCADA, HMIs, and plant floor connectivity).
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards (ISA95, ISA88, ISA99, IEC 62443).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based IIoT platforms (Azure IoT, AWS IoT, etc.).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for SCADA/MES deployments.
  • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation Industry 4.0 projects.
  • Certifications (Ignition Gold Certified Specialist, OPC UA, or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications).
