The Head of Production plays a key role in the apparel manufacturing unit, ensuring daily, weekly, and monthly production targets are met with optimal quality, efficiency, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. ">
  2. Target Achievement & Production Planning:">
    1. ">
    2. Drive daily, weekly, and monthly production target achievement in alignment with customer orders and business commitments.">
    3. Monitor line-wise productivity and take timely corrective measures to address shortfalls.">
    4. Support capacity planning and scheduling to ensure optimal resource utilization.">
    ">
  3. Operations & Process Excellence:">
    1. ">
    2. Oversee end-to-end operations across production, quality, maintenance, and material flow.">
    3. Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and other process improvement methods.">
    4. Minimize downtime and ensure smooth workflow across all production lines.">
    ">
  4. Quality Assurance & Compliance:">
    1. ">
    2. Ensure all products meet defined quality standards (AQL, buyer specifications).">
    3. Support regular in-line and end-line quality checks.">
    4. Ensure compliance with statutory norms, safety protocols, and labor laws.">
    ">
  5. Cost & Resource Management:">
    1. ">
    2. Assist in budget control, waste reduction, and improving cost efficiency.">
    3. Ensure optimal usage of manpower, machinery, and materials.">
    ">
  6. People Management & Team Development:">
    1. ">
    2. Supervise and guide production supervisors, quality leads, and support staff.">
    3. Monitor individual and team performance against agreed KPIs.">
    4. Foster discipline, accountability, and a performance-driven culture.">

  7. Reporting & Coordination:">
    1. ">
    2. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production and performance reports.">
    3. Coordinate closely with the Factory Manager, Merchandising, and Supply Chain teams to meet delivery timelines.">

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • ">
  • B.Tech / B.E. (Textile / Garment Technology) or equivalent diploma accepted for exceptional candidates.">
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in apparel manufacturing with significant exposure to high-volume production.">
  • Proven track record of achieving daily, weekly, and monthly manufacturing targets.">
  • Sound knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, sewing line balancing, fabric types, trims, and finishing.">
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and ISO quality systems is an advantage.">
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.">
  • Ability to perform under pressure and deliver results in tight timelines.">
