Director of Power Electronics Engineering

We are seeking an exceptional leader to head our power electronics engineering team. As a Director of Power Electronics Engineering, you will be responsible for defining the technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for power electronics systems.

You will lead cross-functionally with product, manufacturing, and operations teams to align technical goals with commercial requirements. Your expertise in cost-effective, scalable, and high-efficiency power conversion will drive innovation in electrolyzer stacks.

  • Drive innovation in cost-effective, scalable, and high-efficiency power conversion for electrolyzer stacks.
  • Partner with mechanical, thermal, and systems engineering to co-optimize packaging, cooling, and integration.
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with component vendors, contract manufacturers, and external design partners.
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary team of power electronics engineers and technicians.
Requirements:
  • Masters or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field with a focus on power electronics.
  • 18+ years of industry experience in power electronics, including at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Deep understanding of AC-DC and DC-DC conversion topologies, especially in multi-kilowatt to multi-megawatt power classes.
