Job Opportunity:

This is a leadership role within our Investment Operations team where you will be responsible for managing day-to-day responsibilities of the Mumbai team. This includes liaison with external stakeholders, process improvement initiatives and collaboration with colleagues in other locations.

  • Manage the Mumbai team's day-to-day responsibilities to ensure seamless operations.
  • Develop relationships with external stakeholders such as fund administrators, investment managers and auditors.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Review financial statements and fund reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate investor capital calls and distributions.
  • Support audit of funds and assets.
  • Provide technical guidance on fund structures and portfolio solutions to support the Mumbai team.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date maintenance of supporting procedures and onboard new team members.
  • Research investment regulations and interpret key points to aid training and development of the team.
  • Assist team members during periods of absence.
  • Encourage the team to continuously challenge existing processes to ensure value add and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Oversee all reporting including regulatory and expense reporting to ensure compliance deadlines and internal SLAs are met.
  • Monitor service provider calculations to identify issues and errors.
  • Support NAV monitoring process for the Dublin team.
  • Process exception reports for cash breaks, position breaks, pricing and trade settlements.
  • Support Financial Statement audit process.
  • Ensure timely delivery of tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Execute and oversee team responsibilities in line with agreed SLAs and KPIs.
  • Contribute to the advancement of our Operating Model as we adapt to client needs.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in Funds or Asset Management within a leading Asset Manager or Administrator with a strong understanding of core Fund Operations.
  • Practical experience and knowledge of various asset classes, including securities, loans, derivatives and pooled funds.
  • Experience in Private Markets/Private Equity Fund accounting.
  • Proactivity and desire to see things done efficiently via a 'right first time' approach.
  • Results-focused with high attention to detail.
  • Strong academic background in Accounting/Finance/Economics essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate complex issues simply.
  • Strong IT skills and aptitude for learning new technologies.
  • Strong project management skills desirable.
