Job Title

We are seeking a seasoned Category Sourcing Manager to lead the end-to-end procurement process for our rapidly growing health supplements, cosmetics, food & nutraceuticals brand.

  • Responsible for identifying and onboarding reliable vendors, raw material suppliers, packaging vendors, and contract manufacturers across various categories.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new products, ensuring compliance with formulations, packaging, quality standards, and regulatory norms.
  • Negotiate pricing, credit terms, lead times, and minimum order quantities (MOQs) to drive cost optimization while maintaining consistent supply and vendor loyalty.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vendor Identification & Development: Conduct factory audits, background checks, and capability assessments to identify potential vendors.
  • Contract Manufacturing & Private Label Management: Work with third-party manufacturers and private label partners to develop new products, ensuring compliance with formulations, packaging, quality standards, and regulatory norms.
  • Procurement & Negotiation: Lead end-to-end procurement, including RFPs, RFQs, and tender processes. Negotiate pricing, credit terms, lead times, and MOQs to drive cost optimization.
  • Regulatory & Quality Compliance: Ensure all vendors meet regulatory certifications and quality standards. Liaise with internal QA/RA teams to manage documentation, product testing, and statutory compliance.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with NPD, R&D, Quality, Operations, and Marketing teams to bring new SKUs from concept to commercialization.
  • Supply Chain & Inventory Alignment: Work with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely inbound delivery, warehousing, and outbound movement of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
  • Vendor Relationship & Performance Management: Maintain strong relationships with strategic vendors. Monitor vendor performance using KPIs and conduct quarterly business reviews.
  • Cost Optimization & Benchmarking: Continuously benchmark raw material and packaging costs across vendors. Identify alternate suppliers and innovative sourcing channels to reduce procurement costs.
  • Risk Management & Contingency Planning: Develop backup vendor options and alternate sourcing strategies to reduce dependency and mitigate risks of supply disruptions or regulatory changes.
  • Market Intelligence & Innovation: Stay updated with market trends, raw material innovations, packaging trends, and supplier ecosystems.
