Key Position for Sustaining Engineering Excellence

This role focuses on supporting products through their lifecycle, implementing design changes, driving quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring comprehensive documentation.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Provide training and mentorship to engineering teams on sustaining engineering principles and practices.
  2. Support product lifecycle management from post-launch support to end-of-life.
  3. Guide teams in implementing design changes and product modifications efficiently.
  4. Lead quality investigations, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are properly executed.
  5. Conduct detailed root cause analysis to identify and resolve recurring product issues.
  6. Promote reliability improvement initiatives and preventive maintenance strategies.
  7. Ensure accurate and compliant documentation according to industry standards (ISO, FDA).
  8. Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Service.
  9. Develop and deliver training modules, workshops, and on-the-job guidance.
  10. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sustaining engineering activities.
Essential Skills & Competencies:
  1. Strong expertise in product lifecycle support and sustaining engineering.
  2. Proficient in root cause analysis techniques (5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA).
  3. Experience driving quality processes and improvement initiatives.
  4. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards (ISO 13485, FDA).
  5. Understanding of design changes, engineering change requests (ECR/ECO), and change management.
  6. Ability to improve product reliability and performance metrics.
  7. Excellent documentation, reporting, and technical writing skills.
  8. Hands-on experience with the maintenance of multi-industry products, including medical devices, automotive, and electronics.
  9. Strong mentoring, coaching, and presentation skills.
  10. Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
