This position provides Engineering level assistance for our customers, partners, and sales teams.

As a Sustaining Engineer, you will be responsible for troubleshooting software, hardware, and networking in a fast-paced, and expanding primary storage market.

Primary responsibilities include being the interface for our primary storage engineering team by handling customer issues that have been escalated from our customer support group.

The ideal candidate will have industry experience in a sustaining engineering support group along with software development to help in troubleshooting.

Job Duties :

- Quickly analyze customer issues live or through logs/cores/kdumps to isolate product issues or environmental configurations.

- Work directly with development engineering, test, service engineers to develop tactical solutions for customer issues.

- Duplicate customer issues as

- Oversee and administer internal Engineering lab

- Ability to review code to mitigate or fix customer

- Inclusion in the Sustaining On-call

- Ability to work in USA time zone = India Nightshift 8.30PM to 5.30AM (IST)

Job Requirements :

- BS Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study is

- Experience in sustaining engineering, maintenance, support and other customer-related areas is required.

- 3+ years experience working in a Linux environment

- 3+ years software development in C or C++

- Experience in writing scripts: Python, Perl, shell scripting, and other scripting tools

- Experience using debugging tools such as GDB

- Experience with Git and Jira

- Experience with object storage

- Experience with distributed systems is highly

- Experience with advanced networking configuration of switches and operating systems is highly desirable.

- Experience in RAID, VTL, NAS (NFS/CIFS), Fibre Channel protocol, iSCSI protocol and other storage related technologies highly desirable.

- Experience with databases is highly

- Experience with REST/APIs is highly

- Must be able to multitask effectively and

- Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and via digital
