Job Description

As a backend architect, you will design and implement server-side applications that power complex business systems. You will work with Python or Node.js to deliver secure and scalable APIs and services.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing backend services using Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask) or Node.js (Express, NestJS).
  • Developing and maintaining RESTful and GraphQL APIs for enterprise apps.
  • Integrating applications with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth2, SSO).
  • Optimizing backend performance with caching, query tuning, and async processing.
  • Building modular, reusable, and testable backend code.
  • Deploying applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Working with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Ensuring backend security, reliability, and scalability.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong programming experience in Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask) OR Node.js (Express, NestJS).
  • Proficiency in SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
  • Experience with ORM tools (SQLAlchemy, Django ORM, Prisma, TypeORM).
  • Knowledge of API best practices (versioning, throttling, documentation).
  • Understanding of enterprise system architecture (microservices, modular monoliths).
  • Familiarity with asynchronous programming.
  • Strong debugging and optimization skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Celery).
  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures.
  • Exposure to DevOps tools (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Previous experience in ERP/CRM/PLM/enterprise workflows.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of backend development in enterprise applications.
  • Proven ability to deliver secure and scalable systems.
