Supply Chain Manager Job Summary

To ensure uninterrupted supply of generic formulations, the ideal candidate will develop and maintain effective supply plans coordinating with manufacturing sites API Planning Logistics procurement quality and commercial teams.

  • The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for creating medium-to-long term production plans based on demand forecasts inventory norms transit time and manufacturing capacities.
  • This role involves developing monthly rolling production schedules in alignment with monthly sales forecasts tender visibility in-transit stock and API/RM/PM availability.
  • The Supply Chain Manager coordinates with manufacturing plants API team and procurement teams for timely execution of production plans ensuring optimum inventory levels to avoid stock-outs and obsolescence.
  • Key responsibilities include monitoring and managing capacity constraints escalating risks and proposing mitigation actions optimizing inventory holdings in consultation with finance and commercial teams while ensuring availability of finished goods.
  • The Supply Chain Manager collaborates with demand planning and commercial teams to align supply plans with market requirements supporting S&OP processes by providing supply scenarios and constraints where applicable.
  • Acting as a bridge between production QA/QC regulatory procurement API Planning Logistics and commercial teams ensures timely readiness of materials artwork and regulatory approvals for production.
  • The Supply Chain Manager identifies supply risks delays or constraints proactively implementing corrective actions tracks and manages inventory shelf-life risks batch expiry management and re-testing needs.
  • Ensures timely updates and accuracy of master data in ERP/SAP systems BOM lead times MOQ batch sizes etc.
  • Adheres to cGMP GDP and other regulatory compliance norms in supply planning activities generating periodic reports on supply KPIs such as OTIF On-Time In-Full inventory turnover etc.
  • Analyzes supply chain performance recommending process improvements.
