Job Title: SAP APO Support Specialist

Job Description

The role of an SAP APO Support Specialist involves providing expert-level technical support for the implementation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) modules.

As a key member of the IT team, you will be responsible for resolving complex issues, analyzing system errors, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.

Additionally, you will contribute to the development and implementation of process improvements, create technical documentation, and participate in knowledge transfer sessions to enhance team capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide level 2/level 3 support for SAP APO modules, including DP, SNP, PP/DS, and gATP.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to resolve incidents, requests, and issues within agreed-upon service levels.
  • Ensure smooth demand/supply planning, production scheduling, and order promising processes by troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly.
  • Support enhancements, testing, and deployment of APO-related changes, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Work closely with SAP Basis, integration, and business teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Document configurations, specifications, and support procedures to maintain accurate records and facilitate knowledge sharing.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions to equip teams and key users with necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to APO upgrades, migrations, and transformation initiatives, driving innovation and improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5–7 years of experience in SAP APO support or implementation.
  • Expertise in at least two APO modules: DP, SNP, PP/DS, or gATP.
  • Strong understanding of SAP ECC (MM, PP, SD) integration and its implications on APO operations.
  • Hands-on experience with incident, change, and problem management processes.
  • Experience with CIF integration and master data consistency is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to S/4HANA embedded PP/DS is a plus.
