Key Responsibilities

Your new role as a Component Engineer will be both challenging and forward-thinking.

  • Understanding project requirements and effectively coordinating with global teams is crucial for success.
  • Identify and address deviations/issues in projects in consultation with technical leads.
  • Evaluate and apply various applicable international codes and standards, including Siemens internal standards.
  • Applying knowledge of these standards for detailed design of compressor components.
  • Preparing detailed models and drawings using Siemens NX integrated with Teamcenter.
  • Managing engineering Bill of Materials using Siemens NX, Teamcenter and SAP.
  • Performing self-reviews and peer reviews, participating in and leading design reviews.
  • Providing technical support to colleagues.
  • Ensuring quality and timely deliveries of engineering documentation.
  • Managing project activities, schedules and resources using JIRA.
  • Conducting troubleshooting, analyzing failures, preparing root cause analysis and implementing actions.
  • Taking initiatives for improving personal and process efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 4-6 years of relevant engineering work experience.
  • Significant hands-on experience working with Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
  • Experience in creating detailed manufacturing drawings using GD&T as per ASME Y 14.5.
  • Excellent team player able to support and serve the global team.
  • Able to work independently with clear scope and responsibility.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • High flexibility in taking on new tasks/responsibilities.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented, able to pull inputs and interact with interface partners.
  • Knowledge of turbo machinery and their components is an added advantage.
