Role Overview
As an Electrical Supply Chain Manager – Projects, you'll source and deliver essential electrical items on time and within budget. Your role connects HO SCM, site teams, and local vendors for seamless project execution.
Job Location: Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh & Haryana
Candidates must be open to at least one location; final evaluation will be based on the candidate's preference.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procure site requirements, electrical items, and consumables locally as per project needs.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and site electrical team to align material procurement with the execution plan.
- Work closely with the HO SCM team for major electrical material procurement (cables, transformers, switchgear, etc.) and ensure delivery at the site.
- Develop and maintain a local vendor database for electrical materials and consumables.
- Ensure procurement compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Monitor and report material stock, consumption, and shortages at the site.
- Support material reconciliation of electrical items during and after project execution.
- Handle logistics coordination for safe and timely delivery of materials to the site.
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation (POs, GRNs, vendor invoices, reconciliation records).
- Assist in resolving material shortages, vendor issues, or delivery delays in coordination with HO SCM.
- Manage contractual communications with vendors in case of delay or price escalations.
- Ensure formal PO issuance at site
- Support team in insurance and claims handling
- Visit factories, manufacturer facilities to assess the vendor locally.
Qualification & Experience/ Skills Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of electrical consumables and balance of system items used in solar projects.
- Familiarity with local procurement practices and vendor management.
- Understanding of basic electrical specifications and quality standards.
- Good coordination, negotiation, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities at site.
- Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering with relevant SCM/procurement experience.
- 5–8 years of experience in procurement/supply chain of electrical materials (renewable/industrial/infra projects preferred).
- Site-based SCM/procurement experience will be an added advantage.
