API Design and Development Expert

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our backend API development efforts. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Python (FastAPI) and Node.js (Express). This role requires strong expertise in microservices architecture, containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes), and secure API design.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable microservices architecture using containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Evaluate and implement best practices for API security, authentication, authorization, and encryption (OAuth 2.0, JWT)
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers to deliver end-to-end solutions that meet business requirements
  • Maintain API documentation using OpenAPI/Swagger and ensure seamless integration with other systems
  • Monitor and troubleshoot production systems for reliability and scalability, identifying areas for improvement

Requirements:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in backend development with a focus on API design and development
  • Strong proficiency in Python and Node.js, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Proficient in version control systems (Git/GitHub) and agile development methodologies
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including database schema design and optimization
  • Strong debugging, testing, and problem-solving skills, with a passion for learning new technologies and techniques
