Project Manager Position

We are seeking a highly skilled project manager to lead, plan and execute electrical works under the Benin Rural Electrification Project.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, business development and team leadership. They will be responsible for developing and managing project schedules, budgets and resources, as well as ensuring compliance with local regulations and international best practices.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with government officials, contractors and local communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Develop and manage project schedules, budgets and resources to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Business Development: Explore and create business opportunities, ensuring timely submission of technical & financial bids.
  • Team Management: Mentor junior project managers and engineers, fostering a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Establish and maintain strong relationships with government officials, contractors and local communities.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 15+ years of experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, specifically in rural electrification or power distribution.
  • Overseas experience is preferable.
  • Strong expertise in rural electrification, power distribution and project execution.
  • Proven track record of managing medium to large-scale electrical infrastructure projects internationally or in challenging environments.
  • Travel/Relocation: Willingness to relocate to Benin and travel to any location for site visit and coordination.
