Process Improvement Specialist - Solar Cell Manufacturing

The incumbent shall be responsible for the development and implementation of process management strategies in a cluster environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for process management in a cluster environment.
  • Technical evaluation of potential raw materials and vendors to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Training and developing technical teams to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Development and preparation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and control plans to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Analysis and improvement of rejected products to minimize waste and optimize production.
  • Continuous improvement of cell efficiency, yield, throughput, and cost reduction projects to enhance overall performance.
  • Maintenance of external and internal audit standards to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Control of non-conforming productions to prevent defects and ensure quality.
  • Monitoring of new external developments relevant to the company's technology roadmap to stay ahead of industry trends.
  • Responsible for safety in the workplace to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
  • Achievement of zero safety incidents through effective risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Compliance with company safety protocols to ensure adherence to regulations and best practices.

Required Skills:

  • Characterization knowledge of solar cells for process improvement.
  • Experience in Six Sigma methodologies and statistical software to analyze and improve processes.
  • Good presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams and stakeholders.

Essential Experience:

  • Wet Chemistry: knowledge and hands-on experience of equipment from suppliers like SC China, RENA, Schmid, and Kingenious.
  • Thermal/LDSE/LCO: knowledge and hands-on experience of equipment from suppliers like SC China and Centrotherm.
  • Laser processing: knowledge and hands-on experience of equipment from suppliers like Maxwell, DR Laser, and Innolas.
  • Metallization: knowledge and hands-on experience of equipment from suppliers like AMAT, Maxwell, and ASYS.
