Hostel Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to fill the position of Hostel Manager at our esteemed educational institution. As a Hostel Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining a secure, student-friendly environment within the hostel premises.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day hostel operations, including accommodation, maintenance, housekeeping, and catering. You will ensure that the hostel infrastructure is well-maintained and report any issues promptly. Additionally, you will monitor the hostel rooms and maintain updated records of occupancy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hostel Administration: Manage daily hostel operations, including accommodation, maintenance, housekeeping, and catering services.
  • Student Welfare & Discipline: Maintain discipline, order, and decorum among hostel residents. Address grievances and provide counseling support as needed.
  • Coordination & Supervision: Supervise support staff, including ward boys, housekeeping, and security personnel. Coordinate with mess staff for quality food service and timely meals.
  • Safety & Security: Ensure proper security arrangements within the hostel premises. Maintain visitor records and restrict unauthorized entry.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Management, Social Sciences, Education, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Hostel Manager/Administrator in an educational setting preferred.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle emergencies calmly and responsibly.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and record-keeping.
