Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Project Architect to lead impactful consultancy projects. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strong understanding of design excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale consultancy projects with full design strategy oversight.
  • Manage small to mid-value projects independently, ensuring seamless delivery and compliance with client requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and ensure architectural documentation meets client requirements.
  • Chair interdisciplinary meetings, coordinate teams, set clear project goals, and manage resources to meet deadlines.

Technical Requirements

  • Perform thorough reviews of architectural drawings for accuracy and compliance.
  • Identify and resolve design or coordination issues in MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external engineers, leading coordination meetings to prevent technical clashes.

Compliance & Permit Liaison

  • Own the permit application strategy and maintain proactive communication with regulatory authorities.
  • Interpret and enforce local building codes and regulations.
  • Lead submission of compliance documents and manage responses to authority queries.

Team Management

  • Mentor architects, drafters, and interns to ensure well-coordinated technical outputs.
  • Uphold high-quality standards for documentation and design integrity.
  • Develop quality control protocols for architectural coordination across projects.

Requirements

  • Accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
  • Minimum 5+ years of post-qualification experience leading commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
  • Deep experience preparing statutory documents to municipal agencies.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and MS Office; experience with project scheduling tools is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and standards including UDCPR, NBC, IBC.
  • Registered Architect with the Council of Architecture is a plus.
  • Proven skills in team leadership, mentoring, and process improvement.
