Senior Researcher - Microbiology

We are a leading provider of diagnostic services in the clinical genomic space.

  • 8+ years of experience working in Microbiology, NGS and RT PCR based assay.
  • End-to-end delivery of academic projects involving liaison with sales, lab, sequencing, and bioinformatics team and the client.
  • Reviewing literature for developing molecular including NGS based methods for detection of microbes in clinical specimens.
  • Analysing molecular data, interpreting results, and generating test reports.

Requirements:

  • Maintenance of specimen and DNA/RNA inventory.
  • Supervision of the lab team to manage turnaround times on a day-to-day basis.
  • Ensuring work does not stop in the lab due to lack of any reagents, management of stock requirements, and liaison with the purchase department.
  • Discussion of the clinical report with clinicians.
  • Collaboration and direction of research associate staff in a team-oriented structure to achieve project-specific timelines.
  • Responsibility for upkeep of the laboratory and maintenance of lab safety.
  • Fulfillment of CAP and NABL requirements in the lab and ensuring the team follows these requirements.
  • Support for quality assurance team during audits. Regular attendance at QAD meetings and furnishing all required data.
  • Training of new joiners.
