Role: Principal Legal Counsel (Office of Integrity and Compliance)

Requirement of Principal Legal Counsel in the Office of Integrity and Compliance, Legal Department: Legal professional having [14/18] years' relevant experience in a legal & compliance role. Experience of essential elements of Corporate Compliance program and/ or advising on it will be essential.

The position is designed to be key member of the Legal Department with diverse legal skill sets. The candidate will work with highly skilled members of the legal team to provide legal & compliance solutions to business. Especially in management of technology & self - assessment based Enterprise wide Compliance management program for the entire Infosys Group.

Location: BANGALORE

Job Responsibilities:

Independent Experience in the following areas:

1. Own, implement & adopt Infosys Whistleblower Program with Global and regional reach comprised of seven pillars of efficient and effective corporate compliance program.
2. In-depth experience and exposure in handling global investigations on gamut of issues as well as negotiating and implementing remediations.
3. Achieves corporate compliance operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to Compliance & Integrity Plan & its reviews; preparing and completing action plans; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing changes
4. Exposure and understanding of key compliance and regulatory regimes applicable to Infosys e.g. Whistleblower Regulations Anti Bribery - Anti Corruption, Anti Trust, Confidentiality and commensurate process and controls.
5. Exposure of Analytics and Automation to conduct risk evaluation and mitigation would be added benefit but not a pre requisite.
6. Review and improve whistleblower systems, employee feedback mechanisms in close collaboration with HR
7. Plan, organize and conduct trainings, and communications to enhance and grow the whistleblower program in line with best industry standards of cultural assurance.
8. Interpret new regulations and laws by reviewing and analyzing proposed and adopted state legislation and regulations
9. Proactively derive policy administration, trainings and regular communications.
10. Effectively handle complaints & investigations and remediation process.
11. Excellent collaboration with various functions like facilities & infra, govt. relations, finance & HR and sales & delivery functions to assist in Infosys expansion agenda.
12. Advice on public policy, working closely with the Govt. relations team
13. Supports company positions by developing company responses and defenses to complaints, investigations, and administrative proceedings.
14. Complies with legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising executive management team on needed actions.
15. Demonstrates ability to effectively identify legal solutions to solve complex business issues and advise internal customer with precise and clear counsel.

Qualifications:

- Qualified lawyer with minimum JD along with relevant experience as compliance counsel.
- Additional qualification e.g. CA/CFA will be preferred.

Required skills:

1. Extensive report development experience and policy and procedure development experience in a multinational environment with cultural and ethnic diversity;
2. An interest in using technology for efficient program implementation;
3. Analytical skills relating to business processes, business data and inter personal relations
4. Experience in public speaking and business presentation;
5. Knowledge of IT industry regulatory standards including Anti-Corruption, Anti-Trust, Trade Controls etc.
6. Independent project management skills;
7. Excellent analytical, communication skills;
8. Acceptability to innovative approach;
9. Handling change management.
