Job Title: Senior Cloud Data Architect

This is a senior technical role for a highly skilled data professional with deep hands-on expertise in Azure and Databricks.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver who ensures efficiency in their own work while also helping the wider team become more productive and technically stronger.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Azure and Databricks.
  • Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs): Hands-on work with DABs for CI/CD and environment management.
  • ELT/ETL Workflows: Build and manage scalable ELT/ETL workflows with Databricks, Delta Lake, ADF, and other Azure services.
  • Innovation Adoption: Continuously adopt and apply new Databricks features to accelerate delivery.
  • Code Optimization: Optimize Spark, SQL, and Python code for performance and scalability.
  • Software Engineering Best Practices: Apply software engineering best practices to ensure a robust, maintainable, and strategic data ecosystem.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in data engineering with at least 5 years hands-on in Azure & Databricks.
  • Strong expertise in Databricks, Azure Data Services, Python, SQL, and Spark.
  • A track record of efficient delivery and helping teams accelerate execution.
