Architects of Cloud-Based Data Solutions

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Redshift Engineer to join our team and support clients in delivering top-tier data architectures.

Job Description:
  • Lead the architecture review and validation for multiple AWS Redshift clusters ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
  • Validate sizing assumptions and provide right-sizing recommendations to maximize resource utilization.
  • Develop and implement operational excellence best practices, including runbooks, monitoring, and alerting systems.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and health metrics for Redshift platforms to measure success.
  • Analyze and optimize query performance by examining workload patterns, schema design, and tuning techniques.
  • Implement schema governance and define change management/version control processes to ensure data integrity.
  • Define a clear process for deploying new tables, columns, and views with audit trails for accountability.
  • Act as a strategic consultant, providing technical guidance and expertise beyond operational support.
Key Requirements & Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering or database administration with deep hands-on expertise in AWS Redshift.
  • Proven experience in cluster architecture review, sizing, and right-sizing recommendations.
  • Strong background in query performance tuning, schema optimization, and workload management.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Redshift fundamentals, including table design, WLM tuning, vacuum operations, and concurrency scaling.
  • Ability to develop and implement operational best practices, including runbooks, monitoring, and alerting systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in schema governance, version control, and structured change management.
  • Excellent communication and consultative skills, able to articulate solutions to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience working in client-facing roles within professional services, consulting, or enterprise environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take ownership of strategic outcomes.
