About the Position:

  • As an Academic Mentor, you will serve as a supportive guide, motivator, and educator, fostering positive relationships with students, parents, and educators.
  • Key responsibilities include student engagement and mentorship, academic performance support, parent communication, data management, and more.

Responsibilities Include:

Student Engagement & Mentorship:
  • Build trusting relationships with students, offering guidance and support for both academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and counselors to address student concerns and provide necessary interventions.
Academic Performance & Support:
  • Monitor student progress, identify challenges, and develop strategies for improvement.
  • Work closely with teachers and counselors to create customized academic plans for students requiring additional support.
Parent Communication & Collaboration:
  • Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding their child's academic and personal development.
  • Organize and participate in parent meetings and conferences to discuss student progress and goals.
Data Management & Reporting:
  • Accurately track and record student attendance, grades, assessments, and behavioral observations.
  • Prepare detailed reports and conduct data analysis on student performance for internal use and communication with parents and school leadership.

Requirements:

  • Passion for mentoring and guiding students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building strong relationships.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform student support strategies.
