Firmware Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Engineer with 6+ years of experience in embedded software development using C++. This role involves developing and maintaining firmware for various applications using C/C++ and GTest for unit testing.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop firmware for diverse applications using C/C++ and perform unit testing using GTest.
  • Work on data acquisition modules and board bring-up, ensuring strong debugging skills.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate firmware with hardware peripherals.
  • Maintain Git, Jira, and Confluence knowledge.
  • Familiarity with Python and shell scripting is beneficial.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Uboot, Embedded Linux, and open-source components, RTOS preferred.
  • Knowledge of communication interfaces such as I2C, SPI, RS232/485, and USB.
  • Understanding of industrial protocols like Ethernet, Modbus, and REST is advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience with MQTT, HTTP, BLE, Wi-Fi, and Webserver is desirable.

This position requires a strong background in firmware development and a willingness to work collaboratively. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully integrating firmware with hardware peripherals and maintaining complex systems.
