**International Business Director Role Overview**
This position focuses on driving the company's global expansion and exports. As a seasoned leader, you will develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets and build strong relationships with distributors and trade bodies.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing a 3-5 year global expansion strategy for product portfolio
- Identifying and prioritizing high-potential regions and institutional clients
- Leading go-to-market planning, market entry models, and long-term sales strategies for exports
- Identifying and appointing overseas distributors, super stockists, and country partners in key geographies
- Forging high-value partnerships with global bodies (e.g., UN, WHO, WFP, NGOs, governments, military procurement arms)
- Exploring opportunities in emerging economies, duty-free outlets, cross-border trade hubs, and diaspora-focused markets
You will be responsible for delivering targeted export revenue growth across channels and geographies. Your skills and qualifications include:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in international sales, export management, or global business development, preferably in FMCG, food & beverage, or pharma
- Demonstrated track record of scaling exports or setting up international sales operations from scratch
- Global mindset with deep understanding of diverse cultures, regulatory environments, and trading systems
- Strong relationships with distributors, trade bodies, and institutional procurement divisions
- Knowledge of export documentation, foreign currency transactions, LC/DD payment modes, and global compliance standards
