Operations Manager Job Description

As a seasoned operations professional, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless execution of west Sort center activities.

This includes overseeing all facilities planning and managing third-party service providers for maintenance and facilities services. You will be responsible for driving key projects like HI, Project elevate, and HK sop standardization activity in the west region according to project guidelines.

Your expertise will also be utilized in developing and applying preventive maintenance routines on equipment, implementing vendor AMCs with appropriate service levels, and providing feedback and analysis on equipment performance and availability.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Project Management: Drive HI project, Project elevate, and HK sop standardization activity in the west region as per project guidelines.
  2. Facilities Planning: Oversee overall building and facilities maintenance (Reliability, Performance, Cost, etc.).
  3. Team Leadership: Lead a team of 3rd party technicians in equipment maintenance (Trolleys, Conveyors, workstations, Labeling Machines, PLC control systems, electrical systems, etc.).
  4. Preventive Maintenance: Develop and apply Preventive Maintenance Routines on equipment.
  5. Vendor Management: Implement vendor AMCs with appropriate service levels for equipment.
  6. Spare Parts Management: Develop and implement a spare part identification and maintaining stock levels.
  7. Performance Analysis: Provide feedback and analysis on equipment performance and availability.
  8. Issue Resolution: Manage day-to-day issues on equipment with Operations teams, defining priorities with Operation, and organize work with your team.
  9. Staff Management: Manage a team of Maintenance technicians and third-party facilities service providers.
  10. Goal Setting: Define goals, priorities, organized staff planning, staff training to ensure service levels.
  11. Safety and Housekeeping: Maintain a safe working environment by applying the Amazon Safety Policy and collaborating with the Safety team to improve safety on site. Maintain building housekeeping to keep the site within 5S standards.
  12. Engineering Support: Support the Engineering team for installation of new equipment.
  13. Leadership: Lead as a leader within the group as well as other teams.
