Job Description

EssentiallySports is a leading sports media company that seeks to expand its editorial team. As a result, we are looking for skilled content editors who can create high-quality sports content.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling and a strong command of the English language.

We are seeking a dedicated individual with expertise in sports content editing, proofreading, or similar roles. The successful candidate should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in English, Media/ Journalism, or a related discipline.
  • At least 6-12 months of experience in sports content editing, proofreading, or any other similar role.
  • A basic understanding of SEO principles, including crafting engaging headings and subheadings.
  • Leadership skills to inspire, guide, and mentor a team of talented writers.

Responsibilities include:

  • Editing and publishing 18-20 articles each day, maintaining high quality standards.
  • Fact-checking, researching, and ensuring every article delivers value to readers.
  • Working closely with writers, editors, and content managers to refine and elevate published content.
  • Mentoring writers, helping them grow and evolve as contributors to the team.

This role requires working six days a week, aligning with a schedule that meets the needs of our US audience.
