About the Role

  • We seek a seasoned and visionary leader to helm our Platform Engineering function and Advanced Resolution Team.

As Senior Director of Platform Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping internal developer platforms, ensuring reliability, scalability, and efficiency across infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. You will lead a high-performing team of leaders and senior engineers responsible for advanced troubleshooting and critical incident resolution.

Responsibilities:
  1. Define and execute the strategic vision for the Platform Engineering organization, aligning with business goals and engineering best practices.
  2. Develop and manage internal developer platforms (IDPs) and infrastructure components that accelerate development, reduce cognitive load on application teams, and improve reliability.
  3. Champion platform-as-a-product thinking — driving adoption, ease of use, and measurable business value.
  4. Collaborate with application teams, SRE, security, and DevOps to promote a consistent, automated, and secure developer experience.
  5. Advanced Resolution & Incident Response:
  6. Lead a specialized, cross-functional Advanced Resolution Team (ART) tasked with deep system troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and recovery during high-severity incidents.
  7. Establish proactive monitoring, anomaly detection, and response strategies to prevent recurrence and reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR).
  8. Serve as a technical escalation point for complex issues across infrastructure, networking, platform services, and application runtimes.
  9. Partner with InfoSec and compliance teams on platform hardening, audit readiness, and incident forensics when required.
  10. Team Building & Leadership:
  11. Hire, mentor, and grow a high-caliber team of platform engineers and incident response experts.
  12. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and accountability.
  13. Drive cross-functional collaboration with product, architecture, engineering, and operations teams to align on priorities and deliver outcomes.
