Regulatory Compliance Specialist

Job Description:

  • Lead the implementation of compliance frameworks across business units to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct assessments to identify gaps against PIPA regulations and develop strategies for remediation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement controls for data collection, storage, access, and sharing.
  • Oversee data mapping and inventory processes to identify personal data processed by the organization.
  • Establish governance structures and reporting mechanisms to monitor compliance.
  • Manage vendor relationships and third-party assessments related to data processing and privacy.
  • Develop training programs on data protection principles and responsibilities for employees.
  • Prepare project plans and status reports to ensure timely completion and progress monitoring.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing regulatory projects in financial services with a focus on compliance.
  • In-depth understanding of data privacy regulations (PIPA, GDPR) and ability to translate legal requirements into actionable business processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills to facilitate collaboration and information sharing.
