Job Title: Vernacular Outreach Coordinator

We seek a detail-oriented and culturally sensitive individual to translate content from English to Hindi for various platforms.

The ideal candidate will have excellent translation skills, strong coordination abilities, and experience with social media trends and engagement practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate written English content into accurate and meaningful Hindi for websites, social media, news releases, media statements, newsletters, video scripts, billboards, leaflets, letters, demonstration materials, and other outreach materials.
  • Coordinate with freelance translators and proofreaders working in other Indian languages to ensure smooth, timely, and accurate delivery of multilingual campaign content.
  • Manage and maintain Hindi language content across various digital platforms, including uploading content in accordance with standard operating procedures and ensuring regular updates with the latest campaign news, blogs, and resources.
  • Support content development and management of regional social media platforms, including responding to followers with approved, informative, and polite replies.
  • Collaborate with the Online and Campaigns teams to create and adapt Hindi creatives for social media use.
  • Stay informed about ongoing and upcoming campaigns to ensure consistency and accuracy across all Hindi content.
  • Meet assigned deadlines with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Apply a strong understanding of animal rights and advocacy principles to all translation and coordination work.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two (2) years of practical experience in translation from English to Hindi.
  • Strong coordination skills, with the ability to effectively manage a team of freelance translators and liaise with various internal departments.
  • Excellent translation skill from English to Hindi and verbal communication skills in both English and Hindi.
  • Strong understanding of social media trends and engagement practices.
  • Experience with website and social media content management is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Office, and general computer applications.
  • Strong time-management, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
