IT Risk Management Expert

This role oversees the IT audit strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational risks and regulatory expectations.

It plays a critical part in strengthening internal controls, enhancing IT governance, and providing independent assurance through proactive risk identification and audit oversight in a dynamic, tech-driven environment.

1. Develop and implement annual IT audit plans of various entities, ensuring they are responsive to and aligned with the risk profile of the organization.
2. Lead annual and ongoing evaluations of IT infrastructure, establishing controls and audit procedures to identify areas of risk or non-compliance of various entities and map with auditable entities/functions.
3. Ensure proper resourcing for implementation of the plan, adjusting as needed in response to changes in business risks, operations, programs, systems, and controls.

1. Develop and update audit tools by considering IIA guidelines and audit manual, operational, legal, and environmental changes of entities.
2. Inform senior management of significant risks or exposures related to internal controls, compliance, and governance requiring prompt attention.
3. Provide feedback and recommendations on IT & data risks and improve operational efficiencies and processes where appropriate.

1. Maintain good relationships and work collaboratively with all key stakeholders across various entities.
2. Oversee Internal Audit's participation in critical business and technology initiatives and projects, ensuring that audit's perspective is effectively voiced and appropriate controls are designed and implemented on a proactive basis.
3. Serve as a thought leader with respect to IT risk management and internal control best practices.

1. Continuously inspect and assess elements of information systems, implementing audit test plans.
2. Identify and evaluate IT risk exposure and recommend remediation strategies.
3. Review security/digital measures taken by line function/CTO/CISO/Tech Leader/Line function/new business initiatives.
4. Coordinate with external auditors and regulators and provide independent assurance on the IT framework and associated controls.
5. Track issues and actions management process and ensure timely closure.
6. Identify early warning signals in IT areas and potential fraud scenarios for in-depth review and investigation.
7. Benchmark company systems to other available technologies on the market and strengthen further through technology use.

1. Issue all IT audit reports in a timely manner, ensuring clear and concise reports that identify root causes with practical solutions.
2. Deliver MIS/reports/data to assist Function Head in a timely manner.
3. Prepare materials and make presentations to the audit committee and management independently.

• CISSP/CISA/CISM/GIAC/PPM/PMP/DISA/equivalent IT audit-related qualification is preferred.
• Seven years' experience in IT audits (with two to three years in a team management role) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IT security and infrastructure.
• Experience working/auditing in agile product management environments.

• Three to five years of Fintech/NBFC industry experience with expertise of RBI/IRDAI guidelines on IT frameworks & sensitive data protection is preferred/not mandatory.
