We are seeking a seasoned expert in agricultural risk management to join our team.

  • Agriculture Risk Management Specialist

Job Overview:

This role involves assessing and analyzing agricultural risks, including crop yields, livestock, and farm infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop tailored insurance solutions that meet the specific needs of the agriculture industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Assessment:
  • Evaluate and assess risks associated with agriculture-related insurance applications, including crops, livestock, and farm equipment.
  • Risk Evaluation:
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of agricultural risks using historical data, climate forecasts, farm management practices, and geographic factors.
  • Premium Calculation:
  • Design and recommend appropriate premium levels based on risk assessments and market conditions.
  • Loss Mitigation:
  • Collaborate with loss control teams to suggest risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses.
  • Data Analysis:
  • Utilize various analytical tools and techniques to assess risk, including GIS, historical weather data, and crop yield reports.
  • Customer Support:
  • Work closely with clients, agents, and brokers to explain risk assessment decisions and provide guidance on policy coverage.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure that all risk management practices meet regulatory guidelines and company policies, adhering to local, regional, and national agricultural insurance regulations.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of agricultural production, climate risks, and farm operations.
  • Knowledge of agricultural insurance products, including crop, livestock, and farm insurance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex risks.
  • Familiarity with underwriting software and tools, including risk modeling and GIS systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-experts.
