We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to fill a Lease Accounting Associate position.
This role involves maintaining and updating lease accounting schedules in accordance with ASC 842 standards. The successful candidate will also be responsible for preparing and posting journal entries related to lease liabilities and right-of-use assets, as well as assisting with the monthly close process and account reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and update lease accounting schedules in compliance with ASC 842 standards.
- Prepare and post journal entries related to lease liabilities and right-of-use assets.
- Assist with the monthly close process and account reconciliations.
The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in accounting with exposure to lease accounting or real estate accounting principles. Familiarity with ASC 842 and lease accounting software is highly desirable. Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets are also essential.
Required Skills & Experience:- Experience in accounting with exposure to lease accounting or real estate accounting.
- Familiarity with ASC 842 and lease accounting software like Yardi, CoStar, or Lucernex.
