Job Overview

We're seeking a Product Manager to lead our Vehicle Refinish Coatings (VR) Mid-Market strategy in India, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan. The successful candidate will deliver a competitive product portfolio, drive solutions, and implement strategies to meet our growth ambitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Portfolio Management: Assess, manage, and strengthen our product portfolio to meet market and customer needs. Ensure product assortments and pipelines meet market and customer trends.
  • Portfolio Initiatives: Drive initiatives, including new product development, product launches, and withdrawing non-performing products. Work with cross-functional stakeholders to influence product portfolio decisions and ensure efficient execution.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in. Foster a highly collaborative approach at the PCU level.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and drive cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are met within timelines. Provide coaching on portfolio plans, strategies, and product management processes.
  • Collaboration and Reporting: Represent the product management function in the Regional Management Team. Prepare and present reports at regular regional PMR, MBR, and DMR meetings.
  • Portfolio Oversight: Drive product portfolio lifecycle for the segment, define strategies for new product categories, and explore opportunities. Collaborate with Commercial Marketing on strategies for new products and market segments.
  • Data Analysis and Performance Monitoring: Collect and analyze data to maintain key performance indicators and monitor the competitive landscape. Develop competitive analysis and sales strategies with cross-functional teams.
  • Execute Regional Plans: Create and implement data-driven regional portfolio plans aligned with strategies. Guide new product development and portfolio initiatives to ensure a robust pipeline.
  • Competitive Benchmarking: Provide inputs for competitor benchmark studies and support regular competitive product testing and benchmarking.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years' experience in Sales, Marketing, or R&D, preferably with experience as a Product Manager or in a Marketing-related function.
  • University qualification in engineering or chemistry and/or business management, preferably with solid time spent in a western country.
  • Developed business and commercial acumen with strong strategic thinking, analytical/critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly skilled with demonstrated strong ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams and projects within targeted timelines.
  • Collaborative, highly results-focused, and disciplined with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work well and effectively independently, with out-of-the-box thinking skills and a willingness to adopt new IT skills.
