About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Transaction Monitoring Investigations Officer. In this key position, you will be responsible for leading investigations and managing transaction monitoring activities across various businesses and jurisdictions.

As a Transaction Monitoring Investigations Officer, you will work closely with stakeholders to identify and mitigate financial crime risks. You will also be responsible for conducting thorough investigations, analyzing data, and developing effective strategies to prevent and detect suspicious transactions.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments. You should have a solid understanding of anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and procedures, as well as experience working with AML monitoring and case management systems.

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, along with 5-9 years of experience in AML roles. Relevant certifications such as CAMS or ICA Diploma are highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead investigations and manage transaction monitoring activities across various businesses and jurisdictions
  • Identify and mitigate financial crime risks through data analysis and effective strategies
  • Conduct thorough investigations and develop recommendations for process improvements
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure compliance with AML regulations and procedures
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal teams and external partners to achieve business objectives
  • Collaborate with senior management to set departmental goals and objectives
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 5-9 years of experience in AML roles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding of AML regulations and procedures
  • Experience working with AML monitoring and case management systems
  • Relevant certifications such as CAMS or ICA Diploma
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
