As a highly skilled data governance professional, you will be responsible for building and supporting tools & technology required to enable an enterprise-level data management program.

You will act as a primary contributor for the tool implementation of data governance programs, utilizing your expertise in popular tools like Collibra, Informatica, and Alation.

  • You will design and develop solutions for data governance in popular metadata management platforms, enabling data cataloging, meta data management, and data lineage of the enterprise's applications and data sources.
  • You will enable enterprise level integration of metadata stores for business users to search and understand information by developing standard business glossaries and data dictionaries.
  • You will support implementing a solution for Data Cataloging with a Data Governance tool to establish clear data ownership along with access control management.
  • You will build custom integrations between the Data Governance tool and various data stores to map and view data lineage.
  • You will support the enterprise in migrating from existing (and different) data sources like SharePoint, Excel, etc. to a Data Governance tool.
  • You will support implementing a Workflow Management system to optimize, improve, and automate the Data Governance workflows for data stewards to increase output, eliminate repetition, and reduce errors.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you must have the following skills and qualifications:

  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience utilizing tools like Collibra, Informatica, Alation, etc. to implement Data Governance programs.
  • 5+ years of experience in data management space under any area.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work with business stakeholders and leaders to identify and align on workable business solutions to data privacy requirements and challenges.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business, and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection.
