Key Responsibilities

The Senior Data Engineer will play a crucial role in building and supporting tools and technology required to enable an Enterprise Data Governance program.

  • Act as a primary contributor for the tool implementation of Data governance programs, ensuring seamless integration with various data sources.
  • Build and support solutions for Data governance in popular tools like Collibra, Informatica, and Alation, focusing on data cataloging, metadata management, and data lineage.
  • Develop standard business glossaries and data dictionaries to enable enterprise-level integration of metadata stores for business users.
  • Implement custom integrations between the Data governance tool and various data stores to map and view data lineage.
  • Support the migration from existing data sources like SharePoint and Excel to a Data Governance tool.
  • Implement workflow management systems to optimize and automate Data Governance workflows, increasing output and reducing errors.
  • Track, investigate, and correct data quality issues in a Data Governance tool, setting up data quality rules for validation and standardization.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fields, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on experience utilizing tools like Collibra, Informatica, and Alation to implement Data governance programs.
  • 5+ years of experience in data management, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to work with business stakeholders and leaders to identify and align on workable business solutions.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices, business, and technology issues related to managing enterprise information assets.
