We are seeking a Merchandising Manager to drive product strategy, assortment planning, and sales growth for our premium jewellery business. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience from leading jewellery brands and a deep understanding of consumer trends in solitaires, bridal, everyday wear, and fashion-forward studded jewellery.

Job Description:

This role will play a key part in shaping collections, balancing creativity with commercial viability, and ensuring that we deliver the right product mix across all channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute merchandise strategies exclusively for diamond & studded jewellery (studs, rings, solitaires, bridal, designer categories, daily-wear diamonds).
  • Define assortment strategy based on consumer insights, sales trends, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Manage OTB (Open-to-Buy) and ensure alignment of inventory with sales and margin goals.
  • Drive sales, margin, and sell-through for studded categories.
  • Recommend replenishment, product rationalization, and discontinuation to optimize stock health.
  • Track weekly/monthly category performance and drive corrective actions.

Collaboration and Leadership:

The successful candidate will collaborate with design and sourcing to develop commercially successful diamond collections aligned with market trends and brand positioning.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • 6–12 years of proven experience in merchandising for diamonds & studded jewellery (mandatory).
  • A strong track record with reputed jewellery brands like Tanishq, Malabar, Bluestone, Caratlane, Kalyan, Joyalukkas, etc. (diamond/studded verticals).
  • Deep knowledge of consumer trends in solitaires, bridal jewellery, contemporary studded designs, and daily-wear diamonds.
  • Strong commercial and analytical mindset with ability to link merchandise decisions to P&L outcomes.
  • Excellent skills in Excel, analytics, and merchandise planning tools.
  • Team leadership and multi-stakeholder management experience.
